It may help to make sure you are eating plenty of lean protein and vegetables as the base of your diet. Many people feel fuller with plenty of protein. I know I do. That said, you have to feel satisfied with your diet so don't try to be perfect, just do make sure what you eat fits into your calorie goal.
Two pounds a week may also simply be too aggressive too soon for you. It is for many people. Back off to one pound a week and stick with that for a while.2 -
While you may want to lose 2 lbs per week, is it even a reasonable goal for you?
Recommendations for weight loss:
- No more than 1% of your body weight loss per week *(this is the max you should aim for if you want mostly fat loss)
- 0.5 lbs per week if you have less than 25 lbs to lose
- 1 lb per week if you have 25-50 lbs to lose
- 1.5 lbs per week if you have 50 -75 lbs to lose
- 2 lbs per week if you have 75+ lbs to lose
These last 4 are more about how easy the deficit will be to sustain and making the transition to maintaining your new weight easier.
There is also the possibility that based on your current weight and activity level that a 2 lb per week deficit isn't even possible to achieve in a healthy way (a clue to this is if MFP sets your goal to 1200 calories).2 -
How much do you need to lose? Starting weight, height and goal weight?

Hi
How much do you weigh at the moment if you don't mind me asking? 2lbs/week might be too high for you. I'm at 0.5lbs/week and still find it difficult at times. 2lbs would be impossible for me.
I suggest to try and reduce your deficit to the point where you feel comfortable. Unless you only have 2lbs to lose you will most likely need to count your calories for many months and you want to feel happy enough to do it for a very long time and not give up.
If you have a lot to lose and 2lbs/week is OK for you but you still get over then maybe it is a matter of habit if you haven't done it for long enough. After some time you'll get used to it, provided you're not depriving yourself too much.
