I have no idea how to put pictures in this, if someone tries to explain it, I may or may not get it (I'm on a lot of meds LOL)
Short version: I had an incurable lung disease that caused my lungs to look like Swiss cheese and my heart to start to fail. I needed a double lung transplant. Was denied by two centers due to being "obese"...I am 5'10" and was between 218 and 230, soooo yeah, obese. So I found MFP. Through a lot of trial and error finding what worked for me, a lot of time and some slip ups....and basically dragging my *kitten* and my oxygen tank to the gym 5-6 days a week (after telling myself every day I wasn't going).....I lost 30 pounds and was finally listed for transplant. Then on March 2nd of this year, I got THE call. It was the most excruciatingly painful thing I have ever been through.....but...because of afternoon organ donor, I have a second chance at life now. I have since lost another 25 pounds (unfortunately some of it muscle)...but am recovering and gaining back strength. So when you sit there and complain about going to the gym, or that you are too tired.....ummm....yeah, you get my point...
