Is TDEE your best factor?

Hey everyone, just wondering if calculating your TDEE is the best factor when trying to either lose, maintain, or gain weight. Thanks for your inputs in advance!

Eating less than you burn is the best factor. The TDEE method is a great way to do it if you are consistent with your exercise/calories out.1

If I had a predictable exercise schedule I might consider TDEE. I do not, and MFP and NEAT is working fine for me.0

Same here. I have my fitbit synced with mfp, and the tdee it gives me are no where near what the tdee calculators give me.
Fitbit says it's around 2500, and the calculators are all around 1900 calories.0
