Hi all, I started to diet last November low sodium high fibre and work out a hour a day. Lost 6st and now I'm 154lbs (11st) 5"8 male.
Now that I want to maintain my weight I installed this app, so still using my diet foods I entered into my app my daily meals. The highest my sodium intake per day is 675mg. Lowest being 250mg. Is this too low? I have tried googling it but only info I get is about high sodium. Thanks j

My opinion is that you should be in the middle range as too much or too little of most nutrients is not optimal. If you have health issues, I would recommend discussing with your doctor, otherwise, keep it the "Middle Way" as The Buddha would teach! :) There are studies out there. Here is one. http://www.prevention.com/food/healthy-eating-tips/dangers-not-eating-enough-salt

Started using this app 3 days ago, and when I'm planning my daily meals to maintain my weight, the sodium is far to low according to what I should be having. I find if I try adjusting it to include foods with more sodium, then the sugar goes into the red deficit. Need to have a re-think on the diet plan I think.

It is possible to have too little, but any is better than none. The only way I could get that low would be to have zero bread in my plan. I'm not even sure I could get 1500 calories of vegetables and stay below 500 mg sodium

I have HBP and I try to keep my intake under 1500 mg. I usually do but on Taco night I always run 200 over. My diary is open to friends. Feel free to send me a request.
