Am I Doing This Right? Advice Please!

Hey all,
I'm 26 years old and 5"3'. So I started at 175 pounds and I'm now at 140. I had gotten down to 128 but unfortunately gained some weight back...
I lost weight by eating 1200 calories a day with about 2 days a week of exercise thrown in. Right now, I've increased my exercise to 5 days a week. I lift weights three days a week (I made a customized work out routine based on several of the popular ones. My gym doesn't have barbells, only dumbbells. And the gym is at work and I can't afford a membership to a "real" one). I do cardio on the remaining two days (I just started C25K).
I've also increased my calories from 1200 to 1430 a day, per MFP based on a loss of .5 pound a week since I'm within an healthy BMI. My goal is to lose body fat. Honestly I don't notice much of a difference in my appearance from 128 to 140 as I have a lot of body fat that I carry around my belly, back and thighs. My belly sticks out like a mother's apron even though I have not had kids (it sticks out about an inch-two inches from my pelvic area). I have a healthy waist measurement but it's my lower belly A factor of my PCOS.
I'd like to know if there is anything I should be doing differently. I've just started this routine about 3 weeks ago. I've looked into recomping and it sounds like something that would benefit me now, but 140 is right on the edge of an unhealthy BMI and I don't want to go back into overweight territory. Should I keep cutting or start eating at maintenance (it's around 1700 calories for me)?
I also want to add that I'm eating at least 100 grams of protein a day and I weigh absolutely everything. I do eat out from time to time but I make sure to have a nice calorie deficit to cover it.
Thanks in advance!

Don't think of it as a temporary thing just to get fit, try to get in an exercise/fitness mindset that you can stick to for a lifetime. And you may have to keep maintenance calories in mind even after you're done with this.
That's just my advice, but all in all your situation sounds pretty good.0
