This is from my sister who needs some advice:

Looking for a solution: I have tried a few different Whey protein powders and have had not luck with them. They are either too sweet or they upset my stomach. I had heard something about using a protein made from eggs? I need some input or experience advice please.....

There's also soy as a "mostly protein only" powder.

What my doctor reccomends and what I use has whey isolate protein, it's Syntrax Nectar. I'm really not sure if there's a difference, but I was told I can use other protein powders but to make sure the second ingredient is isolate. I am not a big sweet person and I like these. They are not too sweet but are very flavorfull. One other thing, I was using during my liquid only phase, and that was protein infused broths (chicken and beef) and smooth soup (like tomato). I got those from my doctor's office store, but I bet there are other places to get those kinds of things too. In fact right after the surgery I couldn't stand drinking the unjury they were giving me in the hospital, too sweet. They almost didn't let me go home because I just couldn't drink it, but once I got home I had the protein infused broths and did just fine.

One of my friends has a very hard time with any dairy-based protein powder. She uses egg white protein powder. I am trying to include more plant-based foods in my diet, and I go with vegan protein powder, which I find I tolerate very well.

I use myself the premier protein shakes and premier protein bars from Costco. I like them.
