Just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself.

I grew up on a 18 inch BMX bike, played Baseball and went boating my entire youth through High School. Then in High School I joined our Varsity American Football team and made the starting line up.

In 2001 I was 190 pounds and rock solid due to my high activity levels. Well When I graduated high school I stopped riding, stopped working out and stopped being active. I went from 190 pounds up to 326 pounds as of June of 2014.

In the last week of June my wife and I went to Kings Island, a local Amusement park, and I could not physically fit on the Diamondback roller coaster.

I had to make the Walk of Shame, but at that point in time I've never been more determined, more motivated and more high strung about doing anything in my life. I was mad, I was embarrassed, and I was completely flustered with what I had let myself become.

That was on a Saturday, the following Sunday I told my wife. "Whatever we're going to eat, it's going to happen today, because tomorrow it all changes"

I started logging my workouts with Strava, I started logging my food intake with MFP, and I started walking daily.

The pounds legitimately melted off of me. I started small. Walking 1/4 mile. Then walking 1/2 mile, I worked up to about 3 mile then i decided it was time to start running. And I bought a Wal-Mart special and started logging miles on my bike.

Once winter rolled around I joined a local Planet Fitness and started using their treadmills, and indoor bikes along with some basic weights to get back into shape.

As spring rolled around I visited my Local Bike Shop and bought a mountain bike and started hitting the woods and started working on my cardio again.

Since then I've ran several 5Ks, One 10K, One Half Marathon, rode in a few Bike Sportives and I'm registered for a few more this year.

Just wanted to share my experience with you guys and let you know that if I can do it. You can do it as well.

You're welcome to add me on as a friend if you'd like. I'm rocking right at 710 days and counting. Still logging every meal daily and every work out....
