Think about it this way. If you get back on track right away, you have less ground to make up for than if you gave up entirely because when you again decide to get back to it, you'll likely have gained more. The best thing to do when you slip up is to get right back into it. You're going to make mistakes. The important thing is to not let them discourage you. Learn from the mistake, and maybe learn how to avoid the situation that caused you to slip up if possible, and get right back to it.

I cannot tell you how angry I am at myself now that I've found this out myself. If I had stuck with all of my attempts before, I'd have long since been at my goal weight. Just look at the overall picture, not just the short past. Youve lost 14 lbs. So you have a minor slip and gained some back. You're still in the positive! Get back on and before you know it you'll forget you even fell off.

Logging in here religiously will help you.
Last night I only age 6 chocolate covered cherries.
Knowing that I had to log stopped me.
I opened my diary. Knowing that someone could look keeps me accountable.

As above have already said, just get back on track right away and you'll soon squash those 6lbs and more.

For next time, you will know that "in the zone" is NOT the right mindset for losing weight permanently - instead, find a set of habits that are sustainable.
    I'm talking from experience.
