Ladies!!! Help?! Got my tubes tied, stopped taking birthcontrol for the first time in 10 years bam!

Okay, so I have been on birth control for the last 10 years. About 5 years ago I weighed 200lb and managed to get down to and maintain 125-135 for the last 3-4 years. Well, now 3 months ago I got my tubes tied and stopped taking birth control. Well, in the last 3 months I have gained about 3-4lb a month and NOTHING has changed with my diet/exercise and I'm kinda panicking about it! I mean, I already make sure to get 10,000 steps a day most days on my fitbit and I eat around 1800 calories a day, but no empty calories! I am very careful about what I eat.... So now I'm just wondering what do I do?! Am I seriously gonna have to start running every day again or else just live with being fat the rest of my life?! I mean, running is definitely how I lost the weight the first time.... But honestly, I don't love it.... I try to love it... It does help stress when I'm mad or something... But ughhhhh I don't wanna HAVE to do it... You know... what you HAVE to do something it makes it not as enjoyable.... lol It stresses me out just to think about the fact that my hormones changing are sabotaging the body I worked so hard to get  Has anyone has similar experience?! Any advice? Or even simply moral support?! lol Thanks for letting me vent if nothing else....

It might just be your hormones adjusting, if it is you should eventually stop gaining as your body adjusts. You might consider talking to your doctor and making sure nothing is wrong as a result of the surgery that could be causing this, and maybe have her check your thyroid. If it is just being off the birth control...can you just go back on? I hate running too, I hope you don't have to do it!

What helped you lose the 70 lbs initially? Which of those habits can you reintroduce to your life now? Maybe just tracking for a month will help you see some patterns that can change. Try a gentle deficit to gradually lose, there's no race if it's a lifestyle change. Good job catching the re-gain soon and reaching out for help-- the sign of a long-term maintainer!

Get your hormones tested. Having your tubes tied has probably caused progesterone to plummet. Good luck! If it is that, it's easy enough to supplement!

Get some blood work done. Check hormones and have your thyroid checked. Talk to your dr and perhaps they can advise you more.
