I've been wondering if I've been training too much. This is how my set up is.
Monday: Cardio 45 mins
Tuesday: upper body/lower body 30-45 mins
Wednesday: Core 30-45 mins
Thursday: Upper body/lower body 30-45 mins
Friday: Rest
Saturday: upper body/lower body 30-45 mins
Sunday: core 30-45 mins
Am I doing too much? I've started about 2 weeks ago on training.

Can you go more into detail what you do on your weight training days?0

I don't have access to a gym so its kind of limited but this is what I do for weight training
I'm following this push up plan http://www.menshealth.com/fitness/weight-free-upper-body-workout
I do a few sets of dips, a few sets of pull ups, a few sets of dumb bell curls and side lateral raises l0 -
You're doing 30-45 minutes 6x per week of mostly body weight training...that's nowhere close to over-training.2

I thought it didn't really matter as long as it was intense. I cant exercise over 60 minutes because my body will produce corsitol. Would doing the workout 2x a day instead of 1 suffice?0 -

I'm doing 90 min of weight training and 60 min of cardio 6x a week for 2 months. Over training is when you fail to do what you could do. If you're not getting weaker, you're not over training.0 -

I would do more cardio but that eats away the muscles. For your 90 min weight training, do you do it all in one go or do you do 2 sessions a day?0 -

Do HIIT cardio and it won't burn muscle. Sunday I do legs, Monday-Chest, shoulders, and triceps, Tuesday-back, biceps, and traps, Wednesday-legs, Thursday-shoulders, chest, and traps, Friday-biceps, triceps, and forearms. I do all weight training in the morning and cardio in the evening.0 -
So I work out twice a day but do all weight training at once and all cardio at once.0

Eat enough food and you won't burn muscle.
And no, you aren't overtraining if your body isn't giving you signs of it. That's a relatively moderate training schedule.0 -
I would say too much core work. why would you do just core 30-45 mins 2 times per week?
That is not a very good use of your gym time.
Why not full body 3 times/week and do one or two core moves at the end. You use your core during the compound moves anyway, no need to do that much direct work. That way you have more rest days, or fit in more cardio, depending on your goals.
What are your goal?0 -

My goal is to bulk up. I've been overweight my whole life (That changed last year) and I've always wanted to take care of my body and try to gain some muscles.0
