I have been running the 5/3/1 protocol for a couple years now. I have seen awesome strength gains but in my sport (inline speed skating) I feel like I could benefit more from muscular endurance when I ramp up my training closer to my peak out so I am thinking more volume is the key but maintain or gain strength still. Anyone ever ran this rep scheme to accomplish not only strength gains but also increase muscular endurance?
