Do you tend to customize or go with what mfp says? it says to lose 2lb per week 1200 calories however at my weight I think its too low and have done WW before and lost more than 2lb on more I would say - if I changed to 1lb a week it says 1370 although I would like to lose more than that?

Pick a calorie goal, stick to it for 2-3 weeks, assess your weight loss. Reassess your calories based on this! If MFP says 1200 to lose 2lbs a week then thats probably not a million miles away from what you need to do to achieve a 1000 calorie deficit everyday.0

The 1200 was selected as low end recommended for safety for average sedentary woman.
Likely you aren't sedentary, or with exercise days you won't be - so you'll be eating more than 1200 on those days if you understand how to use MFP correctly. Not hard - you eat what it says to eat.
Also - if 1200 is too low (like not much to lose) - then you created that by selecting 2 lb weekly.
Just don't select 2 lb weekly, 3 other option that may easily be more realistic, and more sustainable.
After all, a diet isn't good if you can't adhere to it.
Also - faster isn't better, unless you enjoy losing muscle mass and making it easier to gain again, and harder to lose next time around.1
