Hi I have lost a lot of weight sticking to weight watchers and gym but wanted to try the 5:2. I've read into a lot of reviews and research and all seems positive. Just need some very low cal filling food ideas for the 2 fasting days of 500 cals!

Have you bought the book, there are a few in there and if you google 500 calorie meals you get loads. Are you hoping to fast until dinner time, as this seems to be the hardest option. Michael Mosley and the other author Mimi prefer breakfast and dinner with nothing in between so the 500 is split between those meals. This prob makes it more difficult in meal planning though.
I also have done lots of research into this and hope to do it after losing some initial weight. Lots of health gains to be had!0 -
Hi Devoniaford .. I lost 34 lbs by working out but after hitting a plateau about 5 months ago. I wanted to change things up and after seeing the 5:2 on Dr Oz decided to try it. I've been on it for little over 2 weeks and have lost another 4 lbs. My fast days are Monday and Thursday. On a fast day I will have a grapefruit (104 cal) or natural almond butter on slice of rye toast with fresh blueberries (204 cal) later in the afternoon I will have a serving of casein protein either chocolate/peanut butter with mashed banana (195 cal) or mint chocolate chip with 1/4 c fresh blueberries (145 cal) .. I give myself some flexibility and don't beat myself up if I go over intake by up to 20. Casein protein is really good as it is slow releasing so makes you feel full longer. It mixes really thick so I only put about enough water in to ix it into a pudding.1
