Some people think there are seperate BMI formulas for men and women. All the calculators I've looked at indicate we are the same (what about that Venus & Mars thing, lol?) Even the US gov CDC only has one calculator, (however a seperate one for children).
Is there a difference?

I just did a BMI test thing and when I put all my info in and said I was female it gave me one figure, if I kept all the same info in but changed the sex to male, it gave me a better BMI. So on that basis I would believe that there are different formulas.0 -
I have the BMR+ app on my iPhone and it gives a different one as well. In the info section it gives the names of the formulas that are used. It also gives TDEE, BMR, etc. A well spent buck.0
