Calories lost with walking

I have 2 questions if someone has a minute :) (sorry about my English).

I go for a walk with my son in the morning to walk my 10000 steps. I don't add it has an exercise, I just use the step counter option. Yesterday I walked 10800 steps and mfp says I burnt 440 calories. Does that seem correct cause that seem really high for just walking?

Also, I push my son in the stroller. He weighs about 25 pounds. Do you think pushing him burns more calories or it's not enough of an added effort to be significant?

Thank you!!

Depends on your weight. I'm 5'7 and 150 lbs and yesterday burned 370cals by walking 11300 steps (purposeful exercise). I've been eating these back for two months now and I found my pedometer app that calculates them to be pretty accurate. If you are heavier you could be burning 400 for 10K steps.

Sounds about right for your weight. I'm 128 lbs and for me it's maybe about 250-300 for 10 000 steps.
