Hi all,
Seeking some advice and supportive friends who are also petite women and who are trying to get into great shape.
According to the scale at my gym, I am 101. I clearly do not want to lose much. Maybe 5 or so pounds...and really, I care more about composition than weight...would be happier heavier if it meant more muscle/less fat.I have my limit set at 1200. I do not eat back calories. I don't eat meat but I do eat fish and eggs.
I have questions about my diet. Lots of people on mfp say 1200 is too low, eat back calories, etc but I have to say, it seems odd. I am short and light. Also, my husband does not eat that much more than I do (we generally have the same lunch and dinner). And this starvation mode thing seems odd to me. People who starve, by choice or by force, lose weight. History has shown that repeatedly. I wonder how much is right for me.
I also wonder about my workouts. I use a HRM and I workout hard. I think I was most successful when I was doing a lot of weightlifting and when I stopped the starchy carbs in the evening. Starting both those things again. Been doing a lot of cardio because it is summer. Need more heavy lifting?
My diary is open and I am up for feedback (if you look at today...you will see I eat plenty). Would also love to hear from people who are similar in terms of height or success in shedding the last few pounds.
I do some solid stuff in terms of workouts. I think I should be looking fitter than I do. Any advice/new friends would be appreciated.
