well here we go, 14 months after my bike accident, 5 operations in which I almost lost my leg twice and stopped breathing 6 times, plus 5 months in an external fixator I'm now back at the gym.
36 kilos or 79lbs heavier I'm starting again, my dream is to get back to my 3 miles in 18:22 and I mounted the treadmill today and walked for 11 minutes at 2.2mph for the first time, its nothing compared to most but a huge milestone for me, I also underwent a calf muscle transplant so onwards and upwards, I've shed 6 kilos in the last week and a half, my diet is now in check and I feel like nothing can stop me, it's slow, its mundane but its the beginning of my life again

You sound determined and its that determination that will get you to your goal. Keep focused and take one day at a time. After my arterial blood clot in my leg I could only walk 2 minutes. Now I walk up to 60! Good luck!

Well done iwtb, I went down with compartment syndrome at one point so I have a rough idea what you went through with that clot, 60 minutes wow, I can't wait to be writing that about me.
