Don't necessarily want loose the weight looking to improve abs. Just good old sit-ups best way?

Hey...why not get the whole core/ab thing happening at the same time and involve the whole midsection. The muscles in that area of the body are meant to *Stabilize the spine *Flex the spine *rotate the spine *extend the hips. That being said, planks (stabilizing), crunches (flexing the spine), oblique crunches or axe and chops (rotating) and floor bridges (extending the hips) is a good ab/core routine.1

For strength do a combination of compound lifts and isometric ab exercises. If you want abs, you need to cut body fat. Doing ab exercises only strengthens abs. Fat loss is what allows you to see them.1

Abs are made in the kitchen bro. No amount of sit ups is going to allow abs to be seen thru fat. Once you get the eating thing on point I found that crunches and suspended leg lifts work the best for me.2
