Hey Guys,

New to MyFitnessPal, started couple of days back. So far going strong, went through few threads, great community to keep us motivated.
Needed some advice as am new to the whole fitness thing.

Details :-
Height: 6' 1"
Current Weight : 247lbs (112Kg)
Target Weight :176lbs (80Kg)
Age : 25 - Male
BMI : 32.6
BMR : 2365

Would be interested in knowing the effective/popular diets (preferably Indian), fat burning exercises(hopefully concentrate on belly fat) and general DOs & DONTs.

Also, would love to have some companions along the way. I assure you about my dedication and will be a worthy competitor.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to team MFP. As far as diets go, it's pretty much a free for all here. Lots of different types are floating around. I currently am on Ketogenics and it's working for me. I was previously on low carb and Wheat Belly diet, and I cheated a LOT, but the fat is coming off better now. As far as exercise goes, my suggestion is daily for at least 30 minutes of sweat time. I love some p90X and there are multiple videos out there. I also do a booty shaking ab work out with Tiffany Roth that can be found on Youtube. I've seen some serious belly shifting with that 10 minute workout, but... You may want to do it in private. My kids laugh at me every time they see me shaking. I'd love to have more friends on here. I'd love to offer encouragement and support. I'm 5'4" Started at 217lbs and my target is 160lbs. I'm 43 year old married mother of 6.

Diets: Food, just less of it and make better choices. Keep it simple.
Workouts that concentrate on belly fat: no such thing. Fat is lost all over and your body makes it's own mind where the losses occur.

    Helpful tips:
    1. Cardio is your friend. Find something you enjoy doing.
    2. Take baby steps.
    3. Eat less of calorically dense but nutritionally vacant foods.
    4. If you stumble: forgive yourself, get up and move forward. Leave what's behind you, behind you.
