New to plant-based diet

Hi,
I've been eating plant based for 2 months. I eat vegetarian if there is no other choice and salad isn't enough. I'm confused about the number of calories I need. It's very hard for me to get to 2000. I never thought I would have this problem! When I eat at 1200-1500 whole foods, I don't lose. Please add me. I only have one vegetarian friend so far.

If you enter your information to MFP correctly, it will give you a calorie goal. Measure your food with a scale and you should be good to go.0

Are you trying to lose weight? 2000 calories seem like a lot. If you enter your current weight, rate at which you want to lose weight and goal weight, MFP will tell you how much you need to eat.
Also, a plant-based diet doesn't change anything if you still eat more calories than you should burn. I'm a very short person, that's why I've changed my MFP goal to 1000 calories a day. You should also be exercising 3-4 times a week for results.

I think being in a calorie deficit mean you will eventually lose weight, give it a little time and you'll see results However if you want to reach higher calories rice and dates are pretty high in calories and makes it easy to get to 2000 But yeah 2000 might simply be more than u need, I have been vegan for a year and a half and gained weight cus I work a desk job and move very little! I simply dont use all the calories I consume!0
