Keto and calories

Hello everyone,
I'm very interested in doing keto and normally mfp shows my calories being 1370. When I calculate with the keto calculator online it shows I'm supposed to eat almost 1700 a day. That is freaking me out because that sounds like way too much. Any input please? Thanks in advance.

    Are you inputs equivalent, meaning, did you put in the same amount of weight loss into each equation? Did you put exercise into one but not the other?

    Either way, you will probably just want to chose a number, and track calories for 4 to 6 weeks. From there you can increase or decrease intake based on weight loss.

    ^^ Great advice.

    Once you're in ketosis, your hunger will fade away and you'll be able to eat to satiety and stay below your goal most likely. It's not uncommon for me to have days when I'm 300-500 calories below goal.
