Hey all. ..my carbs seem to be dominating my charts and in reality stopping me from losing weight (the excess in snacks don't help). Has anyone suggestions on upping my protein through meals? Appreciate any feedback

Are you sticking to your calorie allowance? Do you struggle to do so - you feel hungry? If your answer to the first question is yes, and no to the second, don't mess with it, you are doing fine. Carbs is normally the largest source of energy, nothing is wrong.

If you often find yourself above calorie goal - which is what would stop you from losing weight, and/or you struggle with sticking to it, them yes, you can absolutely try to reduce the amount of snacks so that you hit your calorie goal. That would most likely balance things out.

But first make sure you are logging correctly - adding to your diary the amounts you actually eat, of foods that are entered into the database with the right nutritional information.

Aside from obviously eating more meat, Plain Greek yogurt is a great protein source. Tuna, beans, eggs too.

With your current macro setting, you need 240 calories of protein for your day. Maybe try a baked chicken breast, tuna on your crackers, maybe decrease the amount of bread but add in an extra egg.

From my T2D training I made it a habit to include a little protein with every meal, every snack. As long as you watch your portions this will also help you feel fuller, longer.

So apple with a little peanut butter.
    Crackers and cheese.
    Egg with toast.
    Tuna salad.
    Hummus with celery.
Greek yogurt stirred in to my oatmeal.

MFP wants me to eat something like 120 grams of protein per day. Which is ridiculous for me. It takes a protein powder to get me up to 80 and I'm not about to take three scoops of it (it really isn't that tasty).

And I get the issue with MFP yelling at you for overeating carbs. You can change your macro ratios and shut up MFP, one of the nurses I work with said that the 120 grams of protein sounded like a recipe for internal organ issues if I do it everyday.

In the end, I've decided to ask my doctor and see what he says about macro settings (I was lucky enough to get a sports med doctor as a primary) and protein amounts. You might want to do the same just to remove any doubt.
