Right so this is a bit of an odd one. I love my black coffee.....but recently I feel like it's making me more tired that anything?

I thought it might of been the change of diet but through the process of elimination it seems to be the coffee. Which is odd to me.

Anyways does anyone heard of this happening or have a decent alternative to keep a guy going hahaha

Thank

All I can say is that I would find it highly unlikely that coffee is making you tired.

How many calories are you eating?

I'm on low calories atm. 1900 per day but I was kinda feeling this tired when I was on 3000 per day.

Coffee has never woken me up. I can have some and maybe half an hour later I'm sleepy. No matter the situation, what I'm doing or eating coffee never makes me any less sleepy.

If you felt that way at 3000 and at 1900, then you should ask your PCP not the internet. I love these forums, but fatigue is the first symptom of a whole host of serious illnesses, most of which are treatable. Because my dad went to the doc at this first sign, his congestive heart failure has been stable for 12 years. It's starting to get worse now, but he's 83. We knew it would happen eventually.

I think maybe a trip to the Dr's wouldn't hurt. I was suffering from fatigue a while back and turned out I was anemic. Went on Iron pills and feel great now. A simple blood test can rule anything medical out!!

When I'm dehydrated, coffee makes me drowsy. It's a symptom of the dehydration though, not the coffee.

coffee makes me tired if I drink too much and/or am not drinking enough water. Try drinking more water and if you feel tired, down a bottle quickly. I find that benefits me quite a bit. Other than that, sleep seems to help...
