What would you say is a good amount of calories for breakfast. I'm mostly wanting to eat oatmeal is that ok? Raw oats with a hint of some kind of sweetener?

It's entirely personal preference and what works best for you. If oatmeal fits into your goals, keeps you full for however long you need it to, and you don't have any negative effects after eating it, then it sounds great!

The right amount of calories for breakfast is really individual -- some people like a bigger meal, some people like a smaller one. It depends on how hungry you are in the AM, if you like to save more calories for later in the day, your daily activities.

Lots of people like oatmeal for breakfast. I find it leaves me hungry if I don't combine it with a higher protein food, but if it works for you, then go for it!

I eat plain oatmeal with walnuts, a banana mashed in, and a little cinnamon. I use water to cook it. It's really convenient at my work since our coffee pot has a hot water dispenser.
