Is there such thing as too much fruit?

I'm starting a juicing detox today for 2 weeks, i've had a few weeks off from clean eating and have indulged in barbecues and cider so i want to have a little cleanse.
I am planning on having a smoothie for breakfast and lunch and then having a nice clean and healthy dinner which will be along the lines of chicken, fish and vegetables and i will have a fruit snack before i go to the gym after work.
But will this be too much fruit? or should i consider only replacing one meal with a smoothie?
Thanks

Don't see anything wrong with it except I would worry you might be setting yourself up for failure with a super strict regime, but I don't live in your pocket so I don't know how you would feel about it! Too much fruit depends on your goals! If you want to clean up your diet and feel refreshed and enjoy fruit, sure! The too much fruit argument is usually regarding the amounts of sugars and carbohydrates in fruits! How does your body react to those things?? I often add spinach or kale to my smoothies and try to pick lower sugar fruits.
My view (not a nutritionist, just my opinion) of a wholesome diet (or a "reset" after a naughty week) is to really focus on getting in correct servings of fruits and veggies.... Ideally I want to have about 2 servings of fruit a day, 5-7 of vegetables, and get a decent amount of protein in. My body in particular responds to high carbs and sugars by making me feel ravenous, which can cause to me overeating crap. But I don't know how it affects you! Try it out, see how you feel! Don't be afraid to try healthy "experiments", but focus on getting in nutrients and an appropriate amount of protein/fat/carbs that gives you energy, more so than sticking to a strict regime. Fuel your body as much as it needs according to your exercise level and lifestyle!
Good luck friend! I'm in a bit of a reset this week too, what I am doing is keeping carbs around or under 100, focusing on whole foods and protein and veggies with a fruit or two a day, this usually makes me feel pretty good and helps when I've been over indulging and my cravings are out of control, cheers to sticking with healthy choices!0
