RMR TEST RESULTS - Weight Gain Experiment?

Hey everyone! I recently had an oxygen RMR test taken which was prompted by getting macros from a coach for a while that I didn't feel like were ENOUGH as I plateaued very hard and didn't want to go BELOW dangerous levels of calories. My RMR is 1700 and my TDEE was 2400 and I was told to eat 1400! Instead, I am INCREASING my calories to see what happens. Have any of you experienced anything like this? Not actually eating ENOUGH?

If you are in a plateau, you are eating at maintenance. Increasing your calories will lead to weight gain. The answer to not losing weight is never to increase your calories.1

My first thought is how accurate is your logging. Unless you were eating below your BMR for an extended period of time eating too little isn't the issue and you would probably still be losing, just slower than expected.0
