    Hey Angie,

You'll laugh but truly ignore the carbs to get started. You'll need to get more carb aggressive later as you get close to your goal. Use the app to dial in the amount of weight you want to lose per week. I dialed one pound, ate under the calories, exercised 30 mins a day and lost 45 pounds in about 8 months. When I closed in on 205 I kinda stalled. That's when I went a little bonkers on reducing carbs. The last 5 came right off.

After I hit my target, I adjusted the app to "maintain and I've been 200-204.5 every Monday for about two months using the app.

Normally I would say one thing isn't for everyone but I've got family members and office friends doing it and they are losing weight with no meal/eating discomfort. It's easy if you commit to logging it all. And you'll find things you'll love to eat. I discovered Siggis yogurt and blueberries. Siggis plain is sour alone but with 1 cup of blueberries it's delish and 160 calories of no fat!

One last thing: Panera Bread is your friend!!! Salads are awesome, good protein and eat an apple instead of bread. It works. Promise.

I'm not a big breakfast eater but an Atkins shake can get me to lunch. If you don't like to cook much, be sure and have lots of snacks on hand: celery sticks with peanut butter, cheese sticks, beef jerky, nuts, and cucumber with ranch. I get the nonfat plain Greek yogurt and add nuts and a dash of sugar-free vanilla syrup. If you have to eat out, most salads are OK (even the dressing!). Keep Romaine or iceberg lettuce on hand to wrap the things that used to be wrapped in carbs like hamburgers and tacos! Good luck!

This site has been a godsend for me since starting keto: ruled.me/
I spent half of the evening just forming up a grocery list to cover what I want to make in the next two weeks.
