Maybe this is the wrong form section, sorry if so.

I started swimming daily laps recently and the chlorine is druing out my skin. Does anyone have any healthy skin treatment ideas for chlorine?

I slather myself with coconut oil, after showing. It has improved my skin overall.

Two things: Vitamin C, and a good moisturizer!

Vitamin C actually neutralizes chloramine. I buy cheap OTC vitamin C tablets (100 for $3 at Walmart) and then dissolve two 500 mg tablets in a pint spray bottle and keep that in my swim supplies. Spray it directly on my skin and hair before showering. It doesn't burn or sting, and it really reduces that after-swim lingering chlorine smell.

Here's a blog that's trying to sell you a premixed spray, but I just do it myself.

PS. I also love Sally Beauty Supply's Ion Swimmer's Shampoo which also acts to neutralize chlorine. It's better and cheaper than other swimmer's shampoos, and as a blonde with super thin hair, I can attest to its effectiveness!. I buy it in huge bottles and use it as shampoo and body wash.

Shea butter, cocoa butter, Shea oil, argan oil, apricot oil, or almond oil. Personally, I don't find coconut oil to be very moisturizing.
