food processor recommendations?

Hey all - my food processor recently crapped out on me, and I'm lost without it. I mostly use it to make almond butter, but I was using it for a while to make chicken salad. I think that's what killed it. Can anyone recommend a food processor or give guidelines on picking out (e.g. how many watts do I need) one that can handle shredding/processing cooked chicken breast without dying on me?
I had the Kitchenaid 3.5 cup food chopper. Great little guy but apparently not powerful enough to stand up to chicken!
Thanks!
ETA - I'm hoping to stick right around the 40 dollar range if possible! I'm broke! lol
