Hey everyone! I'm a 26-years old female from Germany.
Around 3-4 years ago I first started using MFP and had great results. I lost 9kg/20lbs quite easily...but..yeah, as you can imagine... Now, in 2016, I gained it all back plus some (and by "some" I mean "many") extra pounds.

Now I want to start all over again, I'm trying to lose ~25kg / 55 lbs to get to my dream weight of 75kg/165lbs someday.
My first goal is to lose at least 10-15 kg by the end of the year.

I restartet MFP several times, but always lost track because I had no time nor motivation - Most of my MFP friends from back then are inactive and none of my real life friends is using MFP.

So I'm looking for some new people so we can motivate each other.
I'd love to have especially some female users as MFP-friends because I love to see the progress of other women. It makes me happy for them and I can better relate to them and their progress :)

I'm not a big chatter who loves to write long messages, because sadly, I have to work quite much nearly every day, but I'm a fan of binge-using my smartphone and sneaking on your status updates and appreciating them :)

Oh, and I'm trying to improve my English ^^ This works great on this site, that's why I'm not using the German Version.

So, if you are a nice girl who has a similar journey than me, feel free to add!

Greetings,
Arkani

Hi! I'm also starting over again after putting on a few pounds over this past year. I think adding some friends on MFP would be really helpful to keep me motivated and accountable. Good luck to you! I'll keep cheering you on!

Yay! So I'm sending you a request if you like? :)

I made the experience that MFP works a lot better when you have some virtual friends, because you secretly feel ashamed when you have to log a box of icecream daily or don't log at all :D Helps a lot ^^

I've re-started my journey as well as I head up to the big "40" birthday this winter ... I completely lost focus over the last year and a half or so. I picked up old habits of eating to 'fix' pain - this time as my dad was losing his battle to cancer. After he died, it was just easier to keep eating and pretend that the weight wasn't coming on. Then I had to move into my larger clothes and I started feeling uncomfortable with my body, and we got to the beginning of camping season (we have a seasonal site - so we camp and hang out with friends - and eat and drink - every weekend from April to October) and I realized that I was above even my weight at the end of the season last year.

So it's time for me to "put my big girl pants on" and take charge and control of my weight and health. I'm using my treadmill at home, tracking my calories, and sticking to my calorie limits and exercise when I travel for work (not easy, so many restaurants! and group dinners are even harder!), and I'm doing my best on the weekends but trying not to beat myself up if I miss ... each day is a new day to be on track.

Sorry for the long story ... but I'm here cheering you on too Arkani!

    Linda

You don't have to be sorry for the long text ^^
I'm sorry to hear the story about your dad :( Keep your head up, I wish you all the best.

And I totally understand the point with traveling for work .... why does there always have to be cookies in the conference rooms :'(:D
I'm sending you a friend request if it's okay for you. I really don't want to be here on this site alone :D

I just found my new mantra "Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do. Not a punishment for what you ate!" LOVE THIS ... and I need to remind myself of this :)

I'll be looking for the friend request!

Hi Arkani7, I recently started using MFP again after using it a couple of years ago to lose 60 pounds. I'm 26 and have about 50 pounds to lose this time (I'm also strength training, which is why I've changed my goal weight to be a little higher than last time) I've been tracking for about a month and have lost 10 pounds already.. please feel free to add me! My diary is open!

Greaaaaaaat :):) same age, same amount to lose and I'm also doing strength training (well, I used to do it... on a quite good level to be honest, but it's been a while since my last training, but I'm motivated to start again).

    Thanks for your request :)
