Bloodshot eyes day after Zumba?

So I did about 45 minutes of Zumba for xbox last night and today my eyes are RED! I didn't do anything differently! I work in a doctors office and I had him look at my eyes and he said that strenuous exercise can cause bloodshot eyes. So I look it up and there are lots of other people with similar symptoms...

Anyone else have this happen??

Do they look blood shot (like they would from allergies) or does it look like a subconjunctival hemorrhage (normally just one streak/spot of red)?

I go red all over, including my eyes! But lingering redness I put down to sweat irritation (and the accompanying make-up that washes into my eyes).

After doing Zumba I tend to feel randy so I drink some wine and chase my wife around the house. Maybe it is from the wine?

In all seriousness, could you possibly already have dry eyes and maybe the sweat irritated them a bit? If you sit in front of a computer screen all day it is quite probable that your eyes are already irritated and the sweat just pushed them over the edge. Mine used to do that on occassion from a combination of long work hours and allergies but I've since gotten the tear duct plug thingies and don't get the blood shot eyes nearly as often.
