GLUTEN FREE Ghetto Bread

I'm a single bachelor, so I've had to learn how to survive on a budget. Here's how I make my gluten free ghetto bread.
Tools:
1/2 measuring cup
A frying pan
Cooking spray
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Gluten Free Flour
1 Chicken bouillon flavoring packet (found in packs of Ramen noodles)
Spices to your taste, I like cumin, rosemary, hot pepper flakes, pepper, and onion powder.
1/2 cup water
Directions:
1. Mix the dry ingredients.
Taste the dry mix, it shouldn't be too salty. I just might have a high salt tolerance...so you may want to use less. If it doesn't taste right before it's made, it won't taste right after! Words of wisdom...
2. Add in the water and stir.
You're going to want to stir with a fork or whisk for about 2-3 mins...the dough should look a little thicker than pancake batter.
3. Heat the pan on HIGH, and spray it with cooking spray.
I'm always a little generous when applying cooking spray. I don't like bread sticking to the pan, or burnt bread.
4. Drop the dough in the pan.
After you drop the dough, QUICKLY spread it out, starting from the center. Spread until it's just a little more thin than a pancakes size. Watch out here because the dough is going to cook fast and if you don't spread it fast enough...you're screwed. The key is to just lightly and quickly spread the dough out from the center.
**Make sure you even out the top after you spread it out. If not, it may cook unevenly.
5. Cook the dough on HIGH for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.
6. Flip the dough using only one hand on the pan handle, like the pros do. It's all in the wrist.
7. Let it cook on HIGH for 2-3 minutes.
Now, you have some gluten free ghetto bread!
Hope you had a laugh and enjoy the bread...it's really not bad.

What on earth is ghetto bread?1

Is it shaped like a pancake? What do you eat with it?0

I'd never heard of it before either! Looks interesting. . . .
"What this one is called depends upon where you are. In Mexico, it might be called . In India, it might be called "poori". Really, it's just deep fried bread." This site also calls it "balloon bread." The photos show it with a well-formed pocket.
The site also says,
1.Bite one open and fill it with honey.
2.Sprinkle with a brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.
3.Sprinkle with powdered sugar
4.Drizzle on a home made powdered sugar glaze.
5.Brush with melted salted butter.
6.Brush with melted garlic butter.
7.Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
8.Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and Italian Seasoning.
9.Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with your favorite seasoning salt.
10.Dip into a cheese sauce, marinara sauce, or your favorite sauce.
11.Drizzle with chocolate sauce.
12.Place in a bowl and top with ice cream and toppings.
I'm going to try this. Thank you!0 -

Not a luxury item.1 -
Oops! My post above. In Mexico, they are called sopapillas.0

Also, to "fill" is with honey is not what they intended. Just pour a little honey in it.0

@RainaProske - some of your suggestions on foods (not just in this thread) gives you free board at my place in Aus. All I ask is that you cook0

Oh, oops(!), _SKIM_! I am a terrible cook! Seriously! When I was young, I thought I was a fabulous cook. By the time I hit the age of 50, I knew better. I am trying, now, to learn how to cook and am getting better. . . . I've recently been doing much better.1

Sounds amazing! Similar to fry bread? Also there is a kind of pizza called a pizza fritta which is basically a round of deep fried bread with pizza toppings on it.
Deep fried dough is fine by me!0
