I started yesterday .. I hit the gym... ate healthy(but was hungry!!!) and every time i do this something happens .. i sprained my ankle yesterday..not in teh gym tho!! Its like the Gods are against me !! I sooo need motivation to stick to this.. this is the first time i am writing these things down.. or having any actual record of making the effort bcoz the last 100 odd times I have tried it i have failed!! I do not want to discuss this with my friends bcoz its a joke now.. i keep making these promises and i disappoint myself.. EVERY TIME!!
I want to do this.. for myself.. for my health and for my husband.. and for the kids i will have some day I want to be fit and healthy and look nice....
I just need to rant i guess and i am glad i am actually doing something this time.. the question is how long i stick to it!!
fingers crossed .....

Make it about a lifestyle not about the weight loss. If you start out with just trying to starve yourself or even witholding certain foods your body and mind will pay for it. Just watch what you eat, try to make more healthy choices, and throw in that exercise! You can do this. It is a slow process. Every time you see even .2 ounces coming off that scale just know you worked for it and you are lighter than the last time. You are also getting more healthy! If I can give any advice at all it would be to understand that this journey if for a lifetime and if you can't do it for one day then how are you going to be able to do it for a lifetime! You can do this! We are all here to support you. Take one day at a time and when you fall off the wagon...still take one day at a time.0

Thank you.. i am not trying to starve myself.. I think my body is used to eating a certain amount and I am trying to understand how much actually i need to eat as against just eating bcoz i hungry.. does it make sense?:)0 -
Yes it does make sense and it will take a while. I started out eating what MFP told me at 1200, but that was not enough for me and I always thought I had to stay under which wasn't healthy for my body. I changed some settings around and now my 1380 calories. I usually don't hit that but as long as I stay between the 1200 and 1380 I'm feeling pretty good. Don't check out my journal lately because I haven't been keeping track of my calories very good. I found that once I got an idea of what 1380 calories was and how my body had started telling me it was full once I reached that point I could let up on the tracking. That does not work for everyone and please don't take that as advice to stop tracking! I got to a point where I was stressing myself out and from my experience the more I stressed the more my body fought me. So I found something that works and I'm just sticking with it. Hope that helps a little. You will here lots of different advice and some of it may sounds contradicting...just remember that your body is not like anyone else's and it will take time to find what works the very best for you! Good Luck in your journey.0
