Overhead squats

I've been slowly adding overhead squats into my program lately and I know they will take time and lots of practice, but I'd love to hear any tips you guys may have to help me improve.

My $0.02
- start light (like a PVC pipe) and focus on form
- Wide grip and "pull the bar part"
- When you do start using the bar & weights, be in an area where you can safely bail out/dump the bar and not get pounded by it (most good squat racks work for me).

i have only done overhead squats as part of circuits, with very light weight , high rep. I wouldn't go heavy unless you are into crossfit or something like that and you know what you're doing1

I'm not into crossfit or anything, but I get bored with the usual barbell squats. I like overhead squats because I feel like they incorporate more activity in my core than usual even though they're a *kitten* to perform lol.0

Yep, they're a great variation of the "normal/usual" squat.0 -
Great excersize. Using DBs at first can help with the balance and lock in the move.0
