I'm not looking to loss weight with this belt. I'm doing that just fine with diet and exercise. However, I am looking to help strenghten my back and tummy. I have lower back issues from a sports injury a long time ago. I now have monthly chiro visits and some physical therapy to keep my back in check that I will probably have to do for the rest of my life. I'm not disabled in any way and I'm actually pretty active, I just can't do certain activies like mow the lawn, shovel, snowmobile or basically anything that requires me to bend at the waist continuously or any activity that constantly puts strain on the lower back. I need to strenghten my core without causing to much pain and pressure on the lower back. I've heard of this Slendertone flex belt that stimulates/contracts your muscles in your back and tummy. I've researched this product and read reviews and have come to the conclusion that it works on some and not on others. There's plenty of reviews to read, but it basicially comes out as a wash on whether the belt is a good purchase or not. I have my own equipment at home: treadmill, weight bench with a leg and arm press, free weights, elliptical, ski machine, etc.... I walk a lot and bike often, but none of this seems to help my lower back. I've tried yoga and pilates but some of those moves I just can't do without being in a lot of pain the next day. I thought if I could pair all my other activities I do now and add in a flex belt while I'm at work during the day, maybe that would help. Thoughts??? Pros or cons???
