Here's my situation:
40, currently 133.8, goal is to reach 131 and then maintain between 131 and 133
I'm on a relay team for a triathlon in 11 days, and then a second sprint triathlon in 25 days solo.
March(ish) we stopped fertility treatments which involved hormone injections for the past 2 years. My weight gain during that time was 30-40 pounds depending upon the hormone. I can't say it was all the medication but it was a lot as my husband lost 30 pounds in the time I gained 30. We eat relatively the same thing, with me eating smaller portions.
My first pounds were shed relatively easily - I can't get rid of the last 3 pounds - PLEASE HELP!
1) Took calorie count to 1,200 and ate "clean only" I started training harder (alternating between biking and running; rest days were swimming)
2) weight loss plateaued
3) added in some strength training (not tracked in MFP...and it's pretty basic)
4) weight loss plateaued again
5) Increased calorie count to 1,500. I keep up with strength training and doubled my workouts I have slowly added in a few carbs and (non clean eating). And to be totally honest - I try not to eat my workout calories, but I'm starving unless I do so I've stopped feeling guilty about it. I'm not budging much from 134. Any ideas on what to do to shed the last 3 pounds?
I can't really spend more time working out. I don't think its my calorie amount. Just curious if there are any suggestions on shedding the last few pounds. Do I go back to strict clean eating?
Kind of wondering if I should maintain this 134 until the triathlons are over, then focus on weight loss after they are completed.
