Just curious to know… when you weigh yourself on the scales, do you do it on the morning before you eat anything or exercise ect… or do you do it in the middle of the day, or on a night when your done for the day?
I used to do it in the middle of the day, but then someone suggested to do it on a morning when I first wake up, and I saw a pretty big difference… then someone else suggested to do it on a night and again, I saw a big difference
Is there and ideal time of day to weigh yourself? Or does it not make a difference?
Thanks

The most important factor is consistency, but I think it's helpful to weigh immediately after waking, after your first visit to the bathroom, before coffee/breakfast etc.4

First thing in the morning2

My system is this: while losing weight I only weigh myself twice a month. But! I weigh myself three times a day for 3 days and log the average.1

I believe first thing in the morning after using the restroom and before shower, coffee, breakfast, working out2

It really doesn't matter when you weigh yourself. The most important thing is being consistent as when and under what conditions you weigh yourself. I have access to numerous scales at work and my weight is consistent on each one of them so I know they're accurate. I weigh myself twice a week Monday and Fridays that's the way I enter into mfp.
As part of this learning process I've weighed myself at various times during the day and I found that my weight can fluctuate maybe 2 to 4 pounds at any time depending on what I've eaten and how much I've drank. What you really have to do is look at it as a long-term goal

First thing in the morning, after the loo and before eating or drinking anything.
If you weigh yourself in the afternoon or evening, then you're also weighing all the food and drink you've consumed during the day, so you won't really know what your true weight is.
I could weigh myself first thing, and then again after having a few cups of tea, and bam! my weight has just increased by 1+ kgs (2+lbs), which obviously isn't fat weight, just the contents of my stomach.0 -
Always first thing in the morning after using the bathroom, but before ingesting any fluids or food.0
