Hi..hope this isn't too silly a question but would you log your active calories or total calories from your AppleWatch Workouts onto MFP? Currently I am logging active calories - appreciate the feedback!

    Active calories are correct.

Part of the 'total calories' are the calories you would have burned anyway if you had just been sleeping on the couch. The MFP calorie estimate already includes this, so you just want to add the extra calories you burned by exercising, i.e. the 'active' calories.

You will find many devices and even MFP report the total calories for a workout, which is not actually correct, and why most people only eat half their calories back....

And btw, you can have MFP import the calories automatically, so you don't have to manually enter them....

@annaskiski - thank you so much for the response! I think I need to remove my watch and re-add it as a device because nothing really automatically flows over to MFP.

Yeah try re adding it! I used to use an Apple Watch and it would automatically sync my active calories with it. My MFP calorie total at the end of the day was +/- 100 each day based on my Apple Watch.
