Question???? Okay all the weirdest thing just happen. I am working out and I got a rush of jitters and shaking. I ate twice today both balanced meals and no supplement or preworkout stuff. So why did I get the shakes I had to stop working out? This is odd for me and the first time this ever happened. Have anyone else experienced this?

What exercise were you doing? How intense was the workout? Did you feel light-headed or nauseous? How long have you been exercising for?

At the moment, it sounds like hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) which happens when your glycogen stores in your muscles are depleted and your body runs out of "fuel" to effectively work out at a higher intensity. If you're eating in a deficit, your body's glycogen stores won't be very full which is why I was asking those questions above.

I've have an episode of it before when I was lifting heavy weights. My body literally felt like it couldn't support itself. I had to sit down, I was out of breath for 20 minutes even though I was sat down. I couldn't regulate my body temperature and got chills. My heartbeat became erratic and it pretty much felt like I was about to die.

Some people are more prone to low blood sugar than others so it's important to get checked by a doctor if you're unsure. It's also important to make sure you get something to eat a little before working out and immediately after if you're prone to low blood sugar episodes.

It might not be the case. When lifting weights, your body releases certain metabolic byproducts like lactic acid and the shaking can occur when your body releases it. But it feels more like a twitching sensation. You didn't specify what you were doing when you were working out so I'm only going out on a limb here.

In future, eat to fuel workouts. Possibly eat immediately after workouts. Keep well-hydrated. Lower the intensity / time you're working out for until you get used to it and let your body adjust. If there's anything I'm missing out here, just lemme know.

I'll try out all of your advice. The workout was light. I was on the elliptical for about five maybe 8 minutes. I had are earlier so it freaked me out. Thank you.

    could it be anxiety?

Hypoglycemia can make you feel weak/shaky/sweaty. An orange or something with sugar content can help.

A panic attack could be another possibility. But the symptoms are more complex and associated with a feeling of doom. Generalized anxiety is more of a chronic steady condition and may present in an acute form like a panic attack.

It sure sounds like low blood sugar. If taking a break and eating something helps, that's probably it. Are you not getting enough carbs? Mention it to your doctor if it happens again.
