Take a walk, go swimming, go to the gym.1

If you can't remove the cause of the stress, then you need to replace the stress eating with something else. If you're using food to cope with a situation, removing the food won't work unless you replace it with something else. Some people like exercise, others like talking to someone. For me, I need to stop, realize i'm stressed and then take time to breathe and organise my thoughts - however most of my stress is caused by anxiety.1

Work on other ways to relieve the stress. Look at deep breathing techniques on YouTube1

Give yourself something to do. I always find that when I'm busier in the evenings, I have much less of a tendency to snack. When you're bored, that's when you end up snacking away1

Cup of tea (or glass of wine) and a bath...then brush and floss your teeth so you're less likely to eat.0
