Really losing motivation... Vegetarian/Vegan diets

Anyone have any good vegetarian or vegan diets that they've followed and succeeded on? I'm vegetarian due to a medical condition, but I tried going vegan for about 2 months and found it to be too restrictive so I went back to vegetarian. I now find myself losing motivation and focus to lose weight and I'm not quite sure why. I obviously want to keep losing and gaining confidence, but I think I've lost a sense of how to do it. Help? :(

I suggest getting some new cookbooks to reinspire you. I recently got Chole's Vegan Italian Kitchen and Oh She Glows. All the reciepes are vegan and easy to follow and don't have a lot of weird ingredients or expensive vegan cheese replacements.

It's only restrictive if what you want is the food you can't have. I eat a ton of different stuff because I seek out new recipes every week. I've never felt restricted eating a vegan diet, I just had to change the focus of my cooking. There are a lot of good vegan/vegetarian blogs and youtube channels that have all kinds of recipes.

And you can always get "replacement" meats, thoigh in my experience it's better to think of them as separate foods than a replacement. No matter how hard I try, I know that tofu bacon doesn't taste the same as real bacon. But if I'm thinking of it as just another food and not meant to replace the existence of bacon, it's not so bad. I just had seitan "cheese"steaks this weekend and they were great.

Just search for "vegan/vegetarian recipes" and you'll have so many options that it'll be hard to see it as restrictive.
