DIY meal replacement shakes

I need to start eating breakfast so I am looking for quick and easy recipes for a meal replacement shake (or a store bought one) that is fast and easy to make. I need one that can be made at night.

Please only real comments. I do not want to hear how I can be eating a regular breakfast and real food is the key. I have tried eating hard boiled eggs and overnight oatmeal for breakfast and they make me feel nauseous. That is why I want to try a shake.

Thanks!

Milk, protein powder, extras (berries, bananas, oats, peanut butter, whatever you like).

That said, why do you need to start eating breakfast? Many people do just fine not eating breakfast.

I would like to start eating breakfast because it helps with my headaches/ migraines. I do not eat lunch until 1pm and I start work at 7am. If I do not eat something I get horrible headaches but eating actual food in the morning doesnt help.

That makes sense. The reason I asked is simply because many people are still under the impression that breakfast "is the most important meal of the day," or "jumpstarts the metabolism," or some other nonsense. In your case, by all means, consume something.

Look for protein, fat & fiber

Protein: protein powder, greek yogurt, milk

Fats: Nut butter, nuts, avocado, olive oil,

Fiber: Fruit, veggies, Chia seeds, oats

I used to make smoothies, but I'm lazy. So now I mix up a protein shake at night, and keep it ready to go in the fridge.

Then as soon as I finish it, I mix up another one, and put it back in the fridge. That way, when I'm looking for a snack, it's ready to go.

I drink premier protein from time to time. The chocolate is decent. It comes premade and you just pop them in the fridge.

    -2+ cups milk
    -3 scoops vanilla protein powder
    -1 banana
    -1-2 cups strawberries, blueberries, etc.
-kale if you would like, to taste (makes it look ugly though)

I blend this and share it with my kids, and make the leftovers into popsicles. They can't get enough of them.

Glass of milk, or don't have breakfast if you don't fancy it?

What kind of protein powder do you use?

I use EAS. Tastes ok, and is $20 for 22 servings, but I make mine with half a serving and milk, so I get some fat and carbs with it.

I just use EAS (I like both chocolate and vanilla), but it's not the most highly regarded out there. It's just what I can get on the shelf at Target, and they sold smaller 3-serving packs of it so I could sample it and make sure I like it. It's not terribly expensive and has a good nutritional profile for my needs. I only drink both flavors with whole milk, so someone who does water only might have a different story--and the banana just adds an extra layer of awesomeness, if I can fit it into my calories for the day. I am usually drinking it just on days I lift, late at night, so I'm generally tight on calories by then. :)

I previously used Integrated Supplements from Target, which seems to be highly regarded and comes in a very nice looking clear container, but I have only tried it in chocolate. Its flavor is a little weird but I adapted to it.

I might transfer my EAS powders to mason jars so they look cuter sitting out in the kitchen, now that I think about it. Their packaging is aggressively purple.

110 calories/25g protein per 30g powder you can mix it with water or a milk/milk substitute of your choice. It's delicious and this brand has other great flavors. Can be stirred with a spoon in a glass
