In and out calories

Can someone explain the in and out calories to me! It's so confusing I never seem to have many calories left to eat!

Calories In: All of the calories that you consume from food, drink, anything with calories.
Calories Out: The calories that your body uses. This comes from normal body functions (breathing, digestion, etc.) and exercise.1 -
it's just like a bank account. If you put more in than you take out, it will grow - your bank account will grow, as will your waistline. If you use more than you put in, it will shrink. Pretty simple.2

@debeaniebaby Is your weight loss goal too aggressive? Are you eating exercise calories?
