How to fight cravings

Everything was just going good for a couple of weeks, too. But now I'm starting to crave food. I'm always under 2000 calories everyday, I eat 3-4 meals of 300-400 calories..dinner may be 450-500 at most. And I'm constantly on the move, whether it be with cleaning, working as a salesman, with friends or at the gym. It's only been 2 weeks....I have energy, lots of energy...but I'm constantly hungry. Does this go away? And is there anything you can recommend to help fight the cravings? I feel pathetic, it's 12am and I can't go to sleep, I keep thinking about food.

It is common for that to happen early in the journey. The stomach expanded to accommodate your prior eating and now that you've reduced your eating the stomach notices an emptiness. It's suggesting that you fill it. You, on the other hand, are limiting your inputs and your stomach will soon adjust size to accommodate your present eating. Get some jicama, which is sweet and crunchy. Consume 100 grams of it raw. The fiber content of it fills your stomach and satisfies cravings. It's low-calorie and low-carb, too.3

I agree with JeromeBarry1. I find that I can't eat as much as I used to before I started. Keep low calorie snacks (veggie/fruits) handy and you will get past this! It gets easier as you go because it becomes a lifestyle!2

I am 3 days in and always feeling peckish too... my personal trainer says it is due to a metabolism boost... apparently a good thing... snack on healthier foods1

Fill up on fruits and veggie. Then distract yourself. Read about weight loss, go for a walk, look up healthy recipes. But know it gets easier and there's tons of support here for you!2

You are stronger than you think! The first few weeks are grueling. I remember feeling so outta wackos having to weigh and measure and count everything that went in my mouth. Feeling angry and hungry. I promise you if you stay consistent the way you are eating will become a habit, the new normal. Also I find if I stay away from bread or flour and fruit I feel less hungry and cravings.2
