How many calories?

How can I determine calories in a food from a restaurant or deli? I eat an egg white omelette at least 3x's a week from my deli. It has broccoli, mushrooms, onions and cheese in it. How can I guesstimate the calories?

1. Enter your estimated amounts of each ingredient into the Recipe Builder and use that
2. Find a national chain website that has calorie count information for a dish that looks similar0 -
You can guestimate (by eyeballing) to an extent, but you won't really know the hidden factors (like oils, milks, etc.) that go into making the omelette taste so good. You can try to ask for an idea of some products (like cheese, for example), and then specify the amount you'd like "light on the cheese", etc. The best solution to counting accurately, of course, is to replace the habit of purchasing this at your deli to making it at home (maybe the night before) and taking it with you on the road (presumably to work or wherever).0
