Hello,so currently I am 5'5 and about 114 lbs (Hourglass shape ) and I've lost weight previously .Was down to 100 and have a small frame but really liked how I felt and looked at that weight. However ,I constantly got bereated with comments from others asking if I was sick ,telling me to eat, ect. Is this just how our society is now ,or is this. It an appropriate weight ?

114 is pretty much the bottom end of the healthy range for your height. 110 puts you in underweight category.
So no, it isn't just how society is, at those weights you are on borderline of being underweight.

You are underweight now, and you want to lose more? Listen to your friends, they sound like good people!

It really all depends on you... I'm 5'4 and I honestly can not weight less then 165 because I just am built that way... looking on charts that's considered over weight. But for me it's a perfect weight. I never go by paper charts anymore I always look at muscle mass vs fat. Muscle weights more then fat. So it depends on how you want to look at it. At 114 there is no way you are over weight! Fantastic job for getting so far!!!!

At 100 lbs you were really underweight. That's not just a society thing. Being that underweight has a whole host of health problems associated with it. Your friends and family were probably very concerned.
At 114 lbs you are at the bottom of the healthy range. If you aren't happy with your appearance, then maybe consider recomp and heavy lifting.

I'm 5'5" and stick around 140. I was happiest at 128 but have put on quite a bit of muscle since then and can fit into my old clothes so I think it's all relative. I'd definitely just check in with your Doctor who would know you best.

You really should use you BMI (Body Max Index) to help determine your ideal weight. Here's a site that will help...

BMI can sometimes be skewed if a person has a decent amount of lean body mass, but that usually makes it overweight and in rare circumstances at the low end of obese. I've never heard of it being skewed enough to where a BMI of 16.6 would be healthy.

BMI is meant as an indicator, not a diagnosis. It is pretty reliable for the vast majority of people. The biggest complaint about BMI is that some people end up in the overweight category when they carry a larger amount of muscle. There isn't really a reverse scenario in this case. Carrying a lot less muscle is not a good thing.

But think of it this way - your question stated that people who know you and see you were commenting on your weight and asking if you are sick. BMI put you in the underweight category at that weight. I'm leaning towards it being a pretty reliable indicator in your case.
