Good at logging the days, but nothing else

I have been logging in every day for over 800 days. Rarely log food or exercise and have now gained 10kg :o
I desperately need friends who will motivate me. I have started a run walk programme and bought a rowing machine which I have used on days I'm not walking. I need to lose 25kg.

    Log your food.

    Eat in a calorie deficit.

I know all that. I need friends to help motivate me to log properly.

Are you maybe fooling yourself that simply logging in is doing anything for your health? Here's what I would do.

    1. Tomorrow, DON'T log in. That's right, give up your streak. Start over. Get your head away from those 800 days that you essentially did nothing, and start a count of the days of your new commitment to better health.

    2. If you don't have a food scale, go buy one right now so you'll be ready.

    3. The next day, simply log everything for a week. Don't restrict, eat as you always do, just focus on logging every single thing you eat. Weigh everything you can. If you can't, weigh it, measure it. If you can't measure it, guess. Log no matter what. Do this for a week.

    4. After you are comfortable logging every single day, no matter what, start cutting back portion sizes. Eat fewer treats. Add more vegetables. Start working toward meeting your calorie goal.

    5. Start adding some movement to your day.

Feel free to add me as a friend! I am sure I could think of some more advice, but I have to run!

Agreed, that 800 days of logging means nothing if you aren't actually logging.

All very good points, the only motivation you should need is the knowledge your currently "logging" has caused a a weight gain.

732 days worth of food and exercise here. I've lost over 105 pounds in the first year, and maintained it for a year since.

You're more that welcome to add me.

And I'm going to agree. 800 means exactly and precisely nothing if you haven't been doing it correctly. Start over. Buy yourself a measuring scale, measuring cups and start fresh and start dedicated.

Her profile is gone. Did she quit? :disappointed:

Way to go, michelle. She didn't want to actually hold herself accountable. Geez.

Wait. Maybe she's taking your advice and she'll come back with a new profile and start over.
