Does weight have anything to do with how much water you should be drinking.

I have always heard this: you should try to drink between half an ounce and an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, each day. So, if you weigh 150 pounds, that would be 75 to 150 ounces of water a day. You should reach for the higher end if you live in a hot climate and exercise a lot! I hope this helps.0

I heard that too but if I drank half my weight in ounces it's like 5 liters so half an ounce would be 2.5 or so that is a big gap lol. Thanks0 -
Technically yes, but not nearly as much as you think. A good general recommendation is that if your urine is very yellow you should drink more. If your urine is pale yellow you're hydrated well enough. Healthy people can have a very wide range of water consumption and do quite well.

This. Everyone is different and their bodies hydrate at different levels. So you may have 2 people with identical stats, one has to drink 10 cups of water a day and the other one may only need 5.
One factor that people don't see is your diet as well. Some foods have a lot of water so if your diet is rich in those foods, you typically don't need to drink as much water to be well hydrated.0
