I am looking for a lower sodium salad dressing, and low calorie. Anyone have a favorite? A recipe?

Thanks!

I have high blood pressure that I control with a low sodium diet. It's really difficult to find a good low sodium dressing so I usually make my own. A little EVOO, tsp or so of honey, fresh citrus juice and whatever herbs or spices you like. It's very refreshing on any salad but my favorite is a spring mix with apple, red bell pepper, some sliced almonds and feta or Gorgonzola

A basic oil & vinegar dressing you make yourself has no added sodium. Pure vinegar is a great substitute for salt with a similar taste and very little trace sodium.

Virgin olive oil (or oil of your choice ie: walnut, sesame), vinegar of your choice, dry mustard, black pepper, and add garlic, fruit juice, herbs, etc... to make it fit what you're dressing. Whisk in a bowl or shake it in a shaker cup.
The dry mustard is to help suspend the oil longer and it has a great taste too, so leaving it out creates a vinegrette that separates immediately.

Bottled dressings just don't cut it for me. I can whip up a much better dressing in about a minute, so it's not any less convenient and much fresher
