TDEE for now?

Had brain fart over which sub-forum to actually post this in! So apologies in advance.
Long story short, I lost a whole load of weight. Not just weight, but mass to boot. I'm now back up to 116lbs (5'5) with a bit of fluff and I'm kind of hoping I can rely on newbie gains for a good while because I don't have enough mass to cut without looking unhealthy. I read somewhere that a bulk isn't particularly beneficial unless you've been lifting consistently for 4-6 months - I'm literally starting from the beginning with Starting Strength, after a substantial length of time off. Would my best bet be to sit at TDEE for a while? If so, how long would you all suggest doing that for, and what would I follow it up with? Many thanks!

I personally would eat tdee or tdee + 250 during this time so long as you are lifting consistently and with enough volume.0

This is basically what I'm starting tonight, only I'm doing Strong Curves. I'm slightly over TDEE for the day and will be eating like this on all lifting days (4x a week). I'm still slightly above goal weight so I'll be back to my 250 deficit on the other 3 days.0
